Anytime a business operates, they need email. Yes, there’s Slack; there’s Skype; there are many other communication channels, but businesses still revolve around email, and if businesses still use it, you can bet that if you get an email in their inbox and they read it, you can generate sales.

So, email marketing is a thing now. Gmail ads are growing in revenue.  The question is now, is email marketing making value? Yes, it is! Because some people still read emails.

The problem is your email not getting read by people. So, how can you send out emails that get opened by readers? A good place to start is to not include the four reasons people don’t read or open emails.

STOP SENDING EMAILS TO PEOPLE WHEN THEY DON’T WANT THEM

Sending people emails when they don’t want them. GDPR, or General Data Protection Regulation, has a new process which you have to complete to get the weekly newsletter. This increases the open rates, because people who complete the process want your emails!

CLEAN YOUR EMAIL LIST ALWAYS

People don’t clean their email list. In their list, there are a lot of inactive emails available. So, to get a better result, encourage people to clean their emails. Consider simplifying down to a few emails instead of spamming to decrease clutter. Also, don’t add many images. It will redirect you into the promotional emails or spam, which will not aid your results. Try to use text only. This will keep you in the primary email or inbox section.

DON’T ADD TO MANY LINKS

Don’t add too many links. Too many links can result in being marked as spam or social. You will not see the good results from such a strategy. Try to use 3 links maximum. Make sure you also whitelist your emails using AOL, or America Online. Outlook and Gmail don’t do whitelists, so use care when populating your lists.

MAKE A TITLE LIKE YOU ARE MESSAGING YOUR  FRIEND!

How your friends send you email and you open them easily. Always test creative subject lines like ones that your friends would send.
